CURRICULUM

The curriculum is a structured set of experiences, activities, and events—both direct and indirect—designed within a thoughtfully planned environment to promote children’s learning and development. Simply put, the curriculum is a plan for meaningful learning. Our curriculum is comprehensive and child-centric, with clearly defined objectives across all major areas of development. It is thoughtfully aligned with each child’s developmental readiness, interests, questions, and individual learning style, while also reflecting the cultural context in which the child is growing. This approach ensures a rich, responsive, and engaging learning experience that nurtures the whole child.

For children under the age of 6, the environment itself plays a crucial role in the curriculum, serving as a foundation for learning. It is essential that young children have daily experiences with learning aids, each with specific purposes, drawn directly from the curriculum.

Both indoor and outdoor areas have been carefully planned to support self-directed learning and to align with the objectives set in the curriculum. Every space is designed to encourage exploration, foster independence, and provide opportunities for children to engage with materials that stimulate curiosity and promote growth.

At Bright Roots, everything is thoughtfully designed to set your child up for success. Children are provided with lessons and materials that allow them to choose activities they wish to explore. They are encouraged to repeat and engage with these activities as much as they desire, fostering a sense of independence and curiosity.

While the children explore, they are closely observed by our dedicated teachers, who gently encourage and guide them to master new skills and concepts. This individualized approach helps each child grow at their own pace, promoting confidence and a love for learning.
